Jenna Ortega wore more than $200k worth of diamonds around her neck at this year’s Golden Globes

Jenna Ortega had everybody stunned when she arrived at the 80th Golden Globe Awards in a sweeping sand-colored evening gown by Gucci and draped in Tiffany & Co jewellery.

The rising star was nominated for best actress in a TV musical or comedy at this year’s ceremony for her role as Wednesday Addams in the Netflix series ‘Wednesday’. The Tim Burton-directed show has broken several records for the streaming platform, while Jenna has become one of the most popular Instagram stars with over 37 million followers.

Though the actresses Gucci dress was miles away from something that her character in the series, the jewellery that she accesorised with wasn’t.

Jewellery experts at Steven Stone have revealed everything you need to know about the dazzling – and symbolic – layers of necklaces that the actress was wearing.

Elsa Peretti Snake Necklace

The most eye-catching of Jenna’s pieces is the Elsa Peretti Snake Necklace, which is 20″ long and made of sterling silver.

Retailing at $6,000, the serpentine form carries streamlined modernity and encapsulates the darkness and wickedness of Jenna’s character in Wednesday.

The presence of the serpentine encapsulates the darkness and wickedness of Jenna’s character in ‘Wednesday’. Though serpentines also symbolise growth and shooting for the stars – a poignant sentiment as Jenna was nominated for best actress in a TV musical or comedy at this year’s ceremony.

T1 Diamond Necklace

Jenna also wore the T1 Diamond Necklace from Tiffany’s ‘T’ collection, which was wrapped around her neck in a continuous, unbroken circle.

Retailing at $210,000, the necklace is 14.5″ long, made of 18 karat white gold and traced with striking baguette diamonds that total 12.22 carats.

Tiffany T1 designs represent individual strength and perpetual power – another poignant sentiment as Wednesday is Jenna’s breakthrough role.

Tiffany Jean Schlumberger Lynn Necklace

The last of Jenna necklace’s is a yellow gold ‘Lynn’ necklace by Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co.

The necklace consists of a series of sculpted ‘X’ motifs, each set at the cardinal points with 148 round-cut diamonds, mounted in 18k gold and platinum.

Back in 2010, a Tiffany Jean Schlumberger Lynn Necklace sold for $13,000 at a Christies auction.

“Jenna looked incredible at this year’s Golden Globe Awards and the jewels around her neck weren’t just stunning and of great value, they oozed with symbolism.

The most eye-catching of the three pieces was the Elsa Peretti Snake Necklace. Retailing at a modest $6k, the serpentine form carries streamlined modernity and encapsulates the evil nature of Jenna’s character in Wednesday. There’s a lot of symbolism associated with serpentines and the most poignant for Jenna is growth and shooting for the stars, as she was nominated for – but sadly didn’t win – best actress at the awards.

Jenna also wore the T1 diamond necklace from Tiffany’s ‘T’ collection, which was wrapped around her neck in a continuous, unbroken circle. Traced with striking baguette diamonds, the piece retails at $210,000. This is another symbolic piece as Tiffany T1 designs represent individual strength and perpetual power – something that’s particularly poignant for Jenna as Wednesday is her breakthrough role.

The last of Jenna necklace’s is difficult to identify, though it bares resemblance to the Tiffany Alternating Graduated Necklace, which retails for $93,000. I’d estimate it to be of similar value.”
