On 12th March 2023, Princess Iman of Jordan tied the knot with Jameel Alexander Thermiotis.
The ceremony took place at Amman’s Beit Al Urdon Palace, with both King Abdullah II and Queen Rania in attendance.
Donning a custom Dior white gown with a lace neckline, cuffs, and trailing veil, the Princess accesorised with a diamond tiara that’s never been seen before.
After some investigating and a close look at the sparkling piece, diamond experts at UK retailer Steven Stone have revealed everything you need to know – including its value and who it originally belonged to.
“Princess Iman chose a delicate and meaningful tiara for her wedding day – one that reportedly belonged to her paternal grandmother, Princess Muna Al Hussein. The diamond diadem was commissioned from the esteemed Parisian jeweller Chaumet and is believed to have been a personal gift from Princess Muna to her son, King Abdullah II.
Remarkably, the tiara had never been seen in public before the wedding, suggesting that Princess Iman may have been the first member of the Jordanian royal family to wear this exquisite piece.
Given its craftsmanship, history, and the prestige of its maker, I would estimate the sparkling diadem to be worth approximately $700,000.”
