Today we’re introducing Andrew and Christina, whose special moment took place at London’s Shangri La hotel.
We recently caught up with Christina about her gorgeous engagement ring, the couple’s first home together and how Andrew ensured that he made his proposal a moment to remember.
Can you tell us a bit about your beautiful engagement ring?
Absolutely! Andrew picked the ring himself and knew I wanted something classic and minimalistic. He already knew my ring size as I had previously joked about it when my Dad bought me a ring. In terms of the specifics, it’s a round cut diamond in a solitaire setting.
And what about Andrew’s romantic proposal? We want all of the details! The pictures look incredible.
Andrew proposed on his birthday and it was a complete surprise. I had a whole day planned for him and on our way home (we had to pass through London Bridge), I was about to buy a train ticket when he said that he wanted to show me something – I actually asked if he was about to pop the question, which he laughed off! He then walked me to the Shangri La hotel, where a room had been prepared with photos from over the years, a path of roses and candles and a “Marry Me” sign. It was definitely a moment to remember.
How are the wedding plans going?
The wedding plans have been a little slow, although we are always brainstorming. Reason being, we’ve been preoccupied with buying our first property together and have been busy renovating our home up until last month. But now that we are getting more settled, we’re hoping to make a start very soon!
