A huge congratulations are in order for John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, who have renewed their wedding vows!
Having met on the set of John’s music video for ‘Stereo’ in 2006, the couple fell in love over the phone and had a legal wedding at a courthouse in New York City on 10th September 2013. They later had a more lavish ceremony in Lake Como, Italy.
To celebrate their anniversary, the singer and model returned to the idyllic destination and reaffirmed their commitment to each other during a romantic ceremony over the weekend.
Engagement ring experts at Steven Stone have taken another look at the HUGE diamond ring that John proposed to Chrissy with, which sparkles as bright as their love.
According to our leading diamond expert, Zack Stone, Chrissy’s engagement ring from John features a 5-6 carat cushion cut diamond centre stone – a popular diamond shape that offers a combo of elegant style, brilliant sparkle, and great value.
Cushion cut diamonds are a popular choice for engagement rings because they have a unique shape that combines vintage charm and modern flair. Chrissy’s in good company and other celebrities sporting the shape include Jessica Biel, who received a 6 carat cushion cut diamond engagement ring from Justin Timberlake.
One of the oldest diamond shapes, dating back to the 19th century, cushion cut diamonds are highly symbolic and said to symbolise an eternal love that was meant to be.
Chrissy’s diamond is at on a pave diamond band, which creates an illusion of continuous sparkle.
