A huge congratulations are in order for Kat Dennings and Andrew W.K, who have confirmed that they tied the knot last month!
The couple threw a big, traditional wedding at their home in Los Angeles on 28th November 2023.
After the singer proposed to the Marvel actress back in 2021, she took to Instagram to show off her gorgeous engagement ring – but how much is it worth, and what does it symbolise?
Engagement ring and diamond experts at Steven Stone have taken another look at the stunner – as well as the couples wedding bands.
When Andrew popped the question to Kat, he did so much a three stone engagement ring that boasts an emerald cut diamond centre stone, flanked by two trapezoid diamonds. The centre diamond appears to be 3-4 carats, while the large side stones appear to be around 1 carat each.
Three stone engagement rings are a particularly romantic choice as they’re said to represent the past, present and future that you will have together as a couple. Couples tend to choose them as they reflect your story and symbolise friendship, love, and fidelity.
Our experts estimate Kat’s engagement ring to be worth £100,000 to £125,000.
Though Andrew and Kat haven’t shared a close up shot of their wedding rings, Vogue have shared a photo of them sat in a velvet and brass Aerin tray.
The caption reads that they’re from Erstwhile Jewellery, which is located in the heart of New York City.
Both bands are yellow gold. Our experts estimate Kat’s to be 3mm, which retails on the jewellers website at $1,250. Andrew’s is slightly thicker and appears to be 5mm. Though there’s no band that width on the jewellers website, the 4mm is $1,450 and the 6mm is $2,350 – thus, we can estimate it to retail at around $1,900.
“Kat’s ring is very impressive. From her photos, it looks to feature an emerald-cut centre stone that’s complimented by two trapezoid diamonds flanking each side.
I’d say that the centre diamond is three to four carats, whilst the large side stones are around one carat each. With that in mind, I’d give this a retail value of around £100,000 to £125,000″
