Meghan Markle wore over £156k of jewellery to a tennis tournament over the weekend

Over the weekend, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle enjoyed a day at the George Zajfen Tennis Tournament.

The event was dedicated to raising funds for children in foster care, ensuring that they receive the legal protections, resources, and opportunities they deserve.

Hot off the heels of her dazzling new diamond tennis necklace, Meghan once again had us swooning with her impeccable jewellery choices.

Leading diamond experts at UK retailer Steven Stone have closely examined the pieces, providing a detailed valuation of the pieces that the Duchess of Sussex’s was flaunting.

Gold Tank Française Watch

Value: £17,800

Meghan was wearing her Cartier Tank Francaise Watch, which previously belonged to the late Princess Diana, who wore it on formal occasions.

Diana was spotted with the classic timepiece during a number of events – including a visit to London’s Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Hindu Temple in 1997 and an engagement at the British Lung Foundation that same year.

Prince Harry gifted his Mother’s elegant watch to his wife, Meghan, who also appears to place significance on it – she was first seen wearing the accessory at a Fortune magazine summit back in 2022. In 2021, she wore it in a rare portrait of the couple that was released ahead of the couples episode of ‘Time100 Talks’.

More recently, she wore the watch alongside Princess Diana’s £140,000 Cartier diamond tennis bracelet during a hike in California – which coincided with King Charles III’s coronation – and during the Invictus Games in September.

Though did you know that the watch wasn’t actually left to Prince Harry? After the Princess passed away, her private jewellery was divided between her two sons and the watch was given to Prince William, while Harry got her engagement ring – the brothers eventually swapped.

Worth £17,800 ($23,000) at the time, the watch is now likely worth a lot more given its history.

Yellow Gold ‘Love’ Bracelet

Value: £7050

Meghan was also wearing a yellow gold ‘Love’ bracelet from Cartier. Created in New York in the 1970s, the close fitting, oval bracelet is an icon of jewellery design.

The closure is designed with two functional screws that are placed on either side of the bracelet. Passionate and unconditional, it seals intense romances.

Meghan’s bracelet retails at £7050.

Slim Gold Bangle

Estimated Value: £1,492

The Duchess is known for her love of stacking bracelets and bangles, often favouring elegant yellow gold pieces on her wrist.

Alongside her Cartier Tank Francaise Watch and ‘Love’ bracelet sat a slim yellow gold bangle.

The closest match in Meghan’s collection is likely her 14k gold open diamond cuff bracelet with pave diamond detailing. It retails at £1,492.

Wedding Band

Estimated Value: £10,000 ($12,500)

The wedding band Harry gave to Meghan was made of Welsh gold, gifted by the late Queen Elizabeth II. It was made from the same nugget of gold that was used to make her ring, along with Kate Middleton’s.

Prince Harry’s wedding band is crafted in platinum and has a textured surface. Both rings were made by Cleave & Company, the same jeweler who created Meghan’s three-stone diamond engagement ring.

Engagement Ring

Estimated Value: £120,000 ($150,000)

When Prince Harry proposed in 2017, he presented Meghan with a beautiful three stone engagement ring, featuring diamonds from Princess Diana’s jewellery collection.

Over 18 months later Meghan made some alterations to the ring, replacing the yellow gold band with a delicate diamond-studded band instead.

Prince Harry custom designed the ring which includes a centre cushion cut diamond, sourced from Botswana – a place that holds a special place in the couple’s hearts. Botswana diamond mining has contributed to transforming Botswana into one of Africa’s most prosperous countries, and Botswana diamond mines are dedicated to minimizing their environmental footprint.

The 3 carat stone is extremely high quality with incredible colour and clarity that’s flawless to the naked eye. The two round diamonds supporting the centre stone are from Princess Diana’s jewellery collection are around 0.5 to 0.75 carats each.

“Cartier, renowned for its timeless and elegant jewellery, has frequently adorned Meghan Markle. Over the weekend, she showcased their iconic yellow gold ‘Love’ bracelet, which is priced at £7,050. Adding a touch of historical significance, she also wore the Cartier Tank Francaise Watch that was once owned by the late Princess Diana. Originally valued at £17,800, this watch’s worth has likely surged, reflecting both its heritage and its continued allure.

While the photos only offer a partial view of Meghan’s hands, it’s likely she was wearing her exquisite three-stone engagement ring and Welsh gold wedding band. Her engagement ring, set with diamonds from Princess Diana’s collection, is valued at £120,000, whereas her wedding band, though less costly, is worth £10,000.

The Duchess is known for her love of stacking bracelets and bangles. Alongside her Cartier Tank Francaise Watch and ‘Love’ bracelet, she was seen wearing a slim yellow gold bangle. The closest match in Meghan’s collection is likely her 14k gold open diamond cuff bracelet with pave diamond detailing, which retails at £1,492.

All together, Meghan was flaunting £156,342 ($206,418) at the tennis tournament.”
