Award season has officially kicked off, and as always, the spotlight is on the glamorous outfits of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
While Zendaya’s stunning engagement ring undeniably stole the show at the Golden Globes, it wasn’t just the women who turned heads. Several male celebrities also impressed with their bold choices of accessories, showcasing that jewellery isn’t just for the ladies.
One person who always hits the mark on the red carpet is Andrew Garfield, who effortlessly elevated his look with three striking pieces of yellow gold jewellery – including a piece that appears to subtly reference his latest film ‘We Live In Time’.
Fine jewellery experts at UK retailer Steven Stone have carefully analysed the three pieces, uncovering every detail and offering an in-depth look at their significance.
What do we know about Malachite?
Malachite is a striking green mineral renowned for its vibrant colour and distinctive banded patterns. Its name is derived from the Greek word for “mallow”. It forms under unique geological conditions, typically in the presence of copper-rich deposits, where it crystallizes through the weathering and oxidation of copper ores.
The main sources of malachite include Australia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Namibia, and Russia. Due to its abundant supply, lower-quality malachite is commonly used in carvings, pyramids, heart-shaped stones, and tumbled specimens. In contrast, higher-quality malachite is typically cut into uniform or free-form cabochons, which are then used in fine jewellery designs. It’s highly affordable, with prices typically ranging from $1 to $5 per carat.
Malachite is a stone of transformation, offering healing to any area of your life that requires change, helping to release old patterns and promote emotional growth and renewal.
