Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards and footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are engaged! The couple have been dating for five years and welcomed their first child – a baby they named Axel – in August 2021.
Announcing the news on Instagram, Perrie posted photos from the Liverpool FC player’s proposal. In the photos, Alex is down on one knee whilst Perrie can be seen with her hand over her mouth, standing in front of the sea at sunset.

Google Trends reported a hugely exponential increase in “oval engagement ring” searches since Kourtney Kardashian said “yes” and photos of her $1 million oval diamond graced the pages of her Instagram.
From our study, 21% of celebrities chose oval engagement rings in 2021 and this is a trend that’s continued into 2022 – with Perrie joining the likes of Lauren Silverman, Kimberly Stewart, Simone Biles and Joey King in sporting the cut.
