New Ring
Though it’s on her right hand in her recent Instagram post, the ring is in full view on her wedding finger in one of Hailey’s recent make up tutorial videos on YouTube.
Hailey seems to have changed her dazzling engagement ring for a much more modest style – featuring a 2 carat cushion cut diamond with a solitaire setting.
Our experts estimate the ring to be worth $15,000, which is a staggering $485,000 less than her original ring.
Original Ring
Hailey’s original ring was a custom-designed piece by Jack Solow of Solow & Co that features a 6-10 carat oval shaped diamond, sat on a yellow gold band.
Particularly popular with celebrities, the oval cut diamond is a modified version of the round brilliant cut diamond but with a longer rounded shape. Invented by Russian diamond cutter Lazare Kaplan in 1957, oval cut diamonds are versatile, meaning they can look good in just about any setting.
The central diamond in Hailey’s ring is colorless and brilliant, making it a stunningly desirable piece. With this in mind, our experts estimated it to be worth $500,000.
