Before popping the question, Brad Pitt worked with designer Silvia Damiani to design Jen’s engagement ring. The center diamond is surrounded by smaller diamonds coiling around it, which is a symbol of eternity. It cost the ‘Fight Club’ actor a whopping £470,000 ($500,000).
When Justin Theroux proposed to Jen, he gifted her an eight carat, rose cut diamond ring, with an estimated value of £470,000 ($500,000).
Jennifer’s SAG Awards Ring
The ring that Jennifer wore at the 2024 SAG Awards boasts a 3.50 carat diamond, sat on a yellow gold band. The diamond appears to be a rose cut.
Rose cut diamonds are characterised by their flat base and faceted dome, creating a unique and vintage-inspired appearance reminiscent of the petals of a roses.
While they were traditionally popular during the Victorian and Edwardian eras, the popularity of rose cut diamonds declined in the 20th century with the rise of more modern diamond cuts. However, rose cut diamonds have experienced a resurgence in recent years due to their unique and romantic aesthetic.
Jennifer isn’t the only celebrity to flaunt the vintage cut. In May 2023, Charlie McDowell proposed to Lily Collins with a unique engaged ring that features a rose-cut diamond, weighting between 2 and 3 carats and sat in a bezel setting.
