After we received news of Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman’s engagement earlier this week, fans around the world have been waiting for snaps of her engagement ring. As Page Six unveiled some snaps of Lauren sporting the ring in question on Wednesday (Jan 12), we took a close look – and it didn’t disappoint.
The newly engaged socialite, 44, was spotted wearing the recently gifted, giant diamond ring on her left hand as she stepped out in Malibu. The huge diamond stood out from the rest of Silverman’s casual look, which consisted of a pair of blue denim jeans, a classic white t-shirt. .
A source told Page Six earlier this week that the former American Idol judge proposed during a recent family getaway to Barbados, where he owns a home.
Leading diamond experts at Steven Stone have analysed the shots of the ring which appears to show that it’s oval-shaped.
“Lauren Silverman’s ring looks to be oval shaped, which was the most popular shape of 2021 for celebrities. The centre diamond is huge, approximately 20ct. It looks like it’s D colour, which makes it an incredibly high value stone.
“A ring like this would be worth $2,500,000 (£1,820,000) which is the highest value celebrity ring we’ve seen in the last 12 months.”

It’s reported that the pair first met in 2004, when Lauren Silverman was still married to real estate mogul and friend of Simon Cowell, Andrew Silverman. They got divorced in 2013, which was when Lauren and Simon officially announced their relationship.
Despite have once branded marriage ‘boring’, Simon reportedly said it was during lockdown that something changed with Lauren, which urged him to show more commitment to their family.
Simon’s son, Eric, 8, was also there at the time of the proposal, along with Lauren’s son, Adam, 16.
