Everyone’s favourite teenage witch, Melissa Joan Hart, just got a dazzling upgrade – this time, not with magic, but with diamonds!
The ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’ star received a stunning update to her engagement ring for Valentine’s Day, and it’s nothing short of spellbinding.
Melissa met her longtime partner, Mark Wilkerson, at the 2002 Kentucky Derby and the love birds tied the knot the following year. Since then, they’ve built a beautiful life together, raising three children along the way.
Leading diamond experts at UK retailer Steven Stone have examined both the original engagement ring Mark proposed with and its breathtaking upgrade.
“Mark proposed to Melissa with a stunning three-stone engagement ring, a symbol of their past, present, and future together. Crafted from platinum, the ring showcases a striking round-cut diamond at its center, flanked by two smaller round-cut diamonds on either side. The diamonds are set in high settings, allowing them to sparkle brilliantly from every angle.
Mark collaborated with renowned jeweler Erica Courtney to upgrade Melissa’s engagement ring, carefully preserving the original stones while enhancing the design. The updated piece retains the sentimental value of the original diamonds, but with the addition of new stones and a refined setting.
The dazzling piece now features more of a floral design, with the huge centre stone encircled by a halo of smaller diamonds. The transformation not only breathes new life into the ring but also reflects the couples blossoming love that continues to grow with time. I’d estimate its value at around $60,000 – slightly higher than her original ring, which I’d place at approximately $55,000.
