Earlier this year, Rita Ora gave us a glimpse of her engagement ring from Taika Waititi in February – and we were ecstatic to finally be able to take a close look.
The singer and the New Zealand actor, comedian and film maker said “I do” last year in an intimate ceremony in London.
Though at the time, the happy couple appeared to be seen wearing matching gold wedding rings, Rita has never publicly unveiled her wedding band – until now.
Having taken a close look, engagement and wedding ring experts at Steven Stone have revealed everything there is to know about the sparkler.
Rita’s Engagement Ring
Rita’s engagement ring features a 10 carat emerald cut Columbian green emerald.
Colombian emeralds are typically the most expensive in the world – with their beautiful depth of colour, they can sometimes appear to glow. Emeralds are always a symbolic choice for an engagement ring as people of ancient times thought of them as a promise of good luck.
The emerald cut is one of the oldest shapes, with origins dating back to the 1500’s.
Rita’s stunnng emerald is set in a halo design, which accentuates its beauty. It’s also sat on a delicate gold band – the most popular wedding ring and engagement ring metal, which represents eternal love and promise.
With all of this in mind, our experts estimate the ring to be worth £400,000 ($500,000).
Rita’s Wedding Ring
Rita unveiled the first close-up glimpse of her stunning wedding band on her Instagram story.
The bespoke ring was created by House of K’dor – an Australian brand, who have been creating fine jewellery since 1999.
The eternity wedding band features the finest round brilliant natural diamonds, set in 18k white gold.
Our experts estimate it to be worth £10,000. ($13,000).
What about Rita and Taika’s matching rings?
Rita first sparked rumours that the couple had tied the knot when she shared a photo drop from a recent getaway in Paris to her Instagram in August 2022, in which she could be seen flashing a gold wedding band on her ring finger.
At the same time, Taika had also been seen sporting gold jewellery on his ring finger on an Instagram snap shared by Rita’s sister, Elena. Rita uploaded the same shot to her Instagram, but the singer tellingly covered Taika’s hand with her caption.
Our expert, Zack Stone, said at the time: “The showbiz couple appear to have opted for matching plain yellow gold chunky wedding bands. Gold is the most popular wedding ring and engagement ring metal. Representing eternal love and promise, it’s always a sentimental choice.
With an estimated value of £700, the band that Rita’s been wearing is likely to be an 18 carat 4mm heavy weight wedding ring. Taika’s looks to be 5mm and is worth the higher price of £1000.”

Taking a look at the time, we identified Rita’s to be an 18ct 4mm heavy weight wedding ring, with an estimated value of £700. We identified Taika’s to be 5mm and worth the higher price of £1,000.”
