Sophie Turner has been sparking fresh engagement rumours with her latest piece of jewellery.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ star was spotted wearing a dazzling new diamond ring on THAT finger while promoting her upcoming film ‘Trust’, set to debut later this month. The striking accessory stole the spotlight during her busy press day in New York City, which included an interview on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’.
The timing is particularly intriguing, as the appearance of the ring comes just weeks after Sophie rekindled her romance with British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson. While there’s been no official confirmation of an engagement, her eye-catching sparkler has already set tongues wagging.
Naturally, diamond experts at UK jeweller Steven Stone were eager to weigh in on the stunning piece.
“Crafted from 18 karat gold, Sophie’s new ring appears to showcase a natural Old European cut diamond, hand-set in a sleek bezel mounting. Its design is strikingly bold and contemporary, with smooth, substantial gold edges framing the round-cut stone. The piece is believed to be the work of New York-based jeweller Briony Raymond, celebrated for her luxurious creations that often highlight substantial gold craftsmanship, bezel settings, and statement gemstones. Judging by the size of the stone – which appears to be as large as 20 carats – I’d estimate the ring’s value to be in the region of $7 million.”
While the ring leans more toward a fashion-forward statement piece than a traditional engagement style, it could serve either purpose depending on the wearer’s preference. If it does signify an engagement, Sophie’s choice would mark a sharp departure from the ring she received from Joe Jonas. That one featured a 3-carat pear-cut diamond set on a double pavé band, designed to maximize its sparkle – a distinctive piece I previously valued at around $180,000.”
