One of Hollywood’s most beloved couple’s, Taika Waititi and Rita Ora consistently make a dazzling impression on red carpets worldwide.
Attending this year’s Met Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, Rita stunned in a skintight nude bodysuit, alongside a floor-length multi-coloured beaded and tasseled overlay. The musician completed her look with a pair of nude strappy heels.
Looking dapper in a brown leather Marni suit, complete with a coordinating tie and gloves, Taika accentuated his ensemble with a remarkable diamond necklace. Though with all eyes on Rita – and rightly so too – it seems to have gone largely unnoticed, despite its undeniable allure.
Leading diamond experts at UK retailer Steven Stone have meticulously examined the stunning necklace, which boasts an astronomical price tag!
“While all the buzz surrounded Rita Ora’s stunning attire at this year’s Met Gala, her husband Taika Waititi’s dazzling diamond necklace went unnoticed.
Crafted by Jacob & Co, Taika’s necklace showcases round-cut diamonds meticulously set on yellow gold. The diamonds exhibit a subtle yellow hue, indicating they likely fall within the H-I range, positioning them at the heart of the Near Colourless spectrum as classified by GIA.
At the forefront of the necklace, the largest diamond appears to exceed 10 carats in size. The stones seem to diminish gradually in size as they extend toward the back of Taika’s neck.
With a total weight of 150 carats, reports suggest that the piece commands an astounding $6 million (£4.8 million). Considering the intricate craftsmanship and details mentioned above, this valuation appears fitting for such an extravagant accessory.”
