Last night, the MTV Europe Music Awards 2022 took place at PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany and there was one artist who outshone them all.
Taylor Swift’s new style era for her latest album ‘Midnights’ has been all about embracing a glitzy aesthetic and she proved that she can make the whole place shimmer when she arrived at the prestigious award show in a sleek black bodysuit – complete with a caged shirt, which was punctuated with tonnes of emerald gems.

Punctuated with hundreds of emerald gems that look to be 10-15 carats each, Taylor’s skirt is certainly eye catching.
Emeralds are the second most costly of the main four gemstones (emeralds, diamonds, rubies and sapphires) which makes it highly unlikely that the emeralds on Taylor’s skirt are real. Based on the amount of them and the sheer size of each individual stone, Taylor’s skirt would be worth millions.
Emerald is known to be the stone of eternal love. The gemstone is said to call to the heart and clear out any weight or dark energy that’s clogging up the wearers emotional system – something that seems incredibly apt for Taylor, who is renowned for pouring her heart and soul into her music.
