Pedro Pascal continues to captivate audiences not just through his performances, but also with his distinctive sense of style – his press tour looks never fail to spark conversation.
During the promotional tour for ‘Gladiator II’ last summer, the actor was spotted wearing a striking emerald ring, notably similar to one worn by his character in the film. More recently, the same ring appeared as part of his costume for the role of Henry Castillo in ‘The Materialist’.
So where did the ring originate? Interestingly, ‘The Materialist’ was filmed before the ‘Gladiator II’ press tour began. The ring found its way onto Pascal’s hand thanks to a chance meeting between costume designer Katina Danabassis and Anahid Mishek – who works for luxury label Darius Jewellery – at a wedding.
With new details emerging, fine jewellery experts at UK retailer Steven Stone have taken a closer look at the piece, revealing everything from its eye-watering price tag to the deep symbolism embedded in its design.

“Pedro’s frequent appearances wearing the ring suggest his attachment to it goes far beyond its role in ‘The Materialist’. The one-of-a-kind Ziggurat piece features a 5.10-carat Colombian emerald, set in rich 18k yellow gold with a satin finish.
Colombian emeralds are known for their grounding energy and timeless symbolism. For a star as big as Pedro, the ring may offer a quiet counterbalance to his rising fame – a reminder of heritage, purpose, and presence amid the spotlight.
Colombian emeralds rank among the most valuable and coveted gemstones in the world. Their price can range from $5,000 to well over $100,000 per carat, depending on factors like color, clarity, size, and cut. Given its exceptional quality and striking 5.10-carat stone, I’d estimate Pedro’s ring to be worth around $300,000.”
