Awards season is officially underway, and Zendaya made a stunning entrance at last night’s Golden Globes, stealing the spotlight not just with her gorgeous outfit but with what appeared to be an engagement ring on that finger.
Walking the red carpet solo, the actress turned heads in a custom Louis Vuitton gown, accessorised with Bulgari jewellery, and of course, a striking diamond ring that set tongues wagging.
Zendaya and her boyfriend, Tom Holland, first crossed paths on the set of ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ in 2016, and while they kept their romance under wraps for years, the couple went public about their relationship in 2021. Despite their efforts to stay out of the spotlight, rumours about an engagement have been swirling for some time.
Engagement ring experts from UK jeweller Steven Stone have closely analysed the photos of Zendaya’s dazzling new ring, revealing all the details about this spectacular piece of jewellery.
“When Zendaya steps onto the red carpet, all eyes are inevitably on her – and last night’s Golden Globes were no exception. This time, it was the stunning sparkler on her wedding finger that had everyone buzzing.
Zendaya’s ring showcases a 6 carat cushion-cut diamond in a timeless solitaire setting, elegantly perched on a yellow gold band. Known for its antique-inspired design, the cushion-cut diamond is revered for its unique blend of elegance and romance. It’s said to symbolise individuality, adventure, and tradition – qualities that align perfectly with Zendaya’s distinctive style.
The ring appears to be a button-back engagement design, featuring a button-shaped metal piece at the back of the setting. This signature design by renowned London jeweller Jessica McCormack is crafted to ensure the diamond or gemstone sits comfortably against the skin. Channing Tatum proposed to Zoe Kravitz with a similar ring, though her version features a black metal backing, while Zendaya’s is likely clear or white.
Although Zendaya has yet to confirm whether this is an engagement ring from her boyfriend, Tom Holland, the signs strongly suggest it’s more than just a piece of jewellery. Rumours have been swirling for months, and she was spotted proudly showing it off to fellow celebrities throughout the evening.
I’d estimate the exquisite piece to be worth $300,000, though I wouldn’t be surprised if it was worth even more.”
