It’s official – Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott are engaged!
The actress took to Instagram last night to share the news that after four years of dating, she’s engaged to the ‘Property Brothers’ host.
The ‘New Girl’ star captioned a selfie of her flashing her engagement ring and cuddling up to Jonathan during their family vacation in Scotland, alongside the caption: ‘Forever starts now!!!’
It’s clear to see that Jonathan didn’t propose with a traditional ring and engagement ring experts at Steven Stone couldn’t wait to take a closer look at the unique sparkler on Zooey’s finger.
Zooey’s ring features three large stones – two diamonds and what appears to be a purple sapphire. Associated with wisdom, love, compassion and forgiveness, purple sapphires are thought to bring their wearer good fortune and spiritual insight.
Two of the stones are in flower patterns, whilst the third resembles a star. Flowers have long been gifted as a symbol of love, friendship and affection, thus, it’s safe to say that Jonathan’s choice to include flower patterns was a romantic one that encapsulates the couples loving relationship.
The ring also includes smaller pink stones – likely to be pink sapphires – which are attached to the rings outer corners.
As Zooey’s ring doesn’t feature any individual large stones, our experts estimate it to be worth just $10,000 (£8,000) – making it one of the least valuable celebrity engagement rings of 2023, so far.
