On Christmas Day, Kate Middleton stepped out for the Royal Family’s annual visit to the local church in Sandringham and she debuted a new pair of earrings that were a Christmas present from Prince William.
In the past, Prince William has given Kate some incredible pieces of jewellery. From Cartier hooped earrings for her 30th birthday to a pair of green amethyst, tourmaline, and diamond earrings when Princess Charlotte was born – Wills definitely has great taste in jewellery.
So, what do we know about the earrings? Engagement ring and fine jewellery experts at Steven Stone have revealed all of the details.
Taking a close look at Kate’s earrings, our experts identified them as the ocean blue Dina earrings from Sézane – a French brand which Kate has worn on several occasions. The Princess of Wales is thought to already own five pairs of their earrings.
Made from gold-plated recycled brass and natural stones, the earrings feature an intricate coin-style design and dangling jewels. They retail at an affordable £100.
Kate’s likely to be drawn to jewellery from Sézane not just because of their design aesthetic – which we can assume she’s a fan of – but because of their conscious manufacturing practices and ethics.
This makes the earrings a particularly thoughtful choice by the Prince of Wales as not only has he taken into account his wife’s style, but he’s also considered her penchant for sustainability.
This isn’t the first time that Kate has lived up to her reputation as the Queen of sustainable jewellery this month and she was sporting a pair of Chunky Knot Soft Citrine Earrings from Shyla London during the Royal Carol Service that she hosted at Westminster Abbey on 15th December.
