The design lends itself to multiple symbolic readings. Leaves have long been associated with renewal, growth, and vitality, while the uninterrupted, interlacing loops could be seen as a metaphor for strength and unity in relationships – all fitting qualities for a working royal.
The amethyst, a gemstone steeped in regal heritage, adds another layer of meaning. Traditionally, purple is a colour of wisdom, dignity, and imagination. Specifically, amethyst is linked to clarity of thought and composure under pressure – traits for which Princess Anne is frequently admired.
