The Cheltenham Festival is one of the most highly anticipated and prestigious events in the royal calendar, drawing widespread attention not only for its exhilarating races but also for the royal family’s deep-rooted connection to the world of horseracing.
Each year, the festival serves as a highlight, offering the royals a chance to celebrate their passion for the sport while also showcasing exquisite fashion that captivates both racing enthusiasts and fashion aficionados.
Today, Queen Camilla has made a floral statement with a pair of matching brooches shaped like pansies. Leading diamond experts from UK retailer Steven Stone have examined these symbolic pieces, uncovering all there is to know…

“Queen Camilla has worn her set of jewelled pansy brooches on many occasions, both before and after her marriage to King Charles, as early as Christmas Day 2007. The brooches are made of 14k yellow gold and feature deep purple amethysts and bright yellow enamel. Each petal is outlined with diamonds, and a single pearl sits at the centre in a small yellow accent. Her Majesty tends to wear them with her purple embellished suit, though for Cheltenham Festival, has used them to add some colour to her brown coat.
As with most royal pieces, the brooches are rich in symbolism. Pansies, like forget-me-nots, have long been associated with remembrance, adding a poignant touch to Queen Camilla’s choice at Cheltenham Festival – a beloved event of her late mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II, whose passion for horses and affection for the festival made it one of the highlights of her year.”
Though there’s no definite information on the provenance of this pair, it’s thought that they’re a family heirloom, like many pieces of jewellery in her personal collection. I’d estimate them to be worth £40,000 each.”
