Queen Camilla’s diamond studded brooch that bursts with symbolism

Known for her elegant taste in jewellery, Queen Camilla’s brooch collection continues to impress – featuring heirlooms passed down from the late Queen Elizabeth II as well as deeply personal pieces connected to her own family.

One standout is a sparkling diamond brooch she wore in 2022, when she and King Charles III welcomed British Olympians to Buckingham Palace. Not only is it a striking piece, but it was also the first brooch that Queen Camilla wore in her role as Queen Consort – making it especially significant.

To celebrate the Queen’s birthday, fine jewellery experts at UK retailer Steven Stone have taken a closer look at the symbolic gem and what it represents.

Featuring 2 carats of diamonds, Queen Camilla’s diamond studded brooch is in the shape of a knot. For thousands of years, knots have been a symbol of love, commitment, unity, and unbreakable bonds

The piece oozes with sentiment as it was the first brooch that Queen Camilla wore in her role as Queen Consort, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The day after the late monarchs sad passing, the Royal couple made their debut as King and Queen Consort – arriving at Buckingham Palace to greet the hundreds who had gathered and to walk through the front gates for the first time in their new roles.

Queen Camilla had previously worn the brooch to various foreign visits and church services – including the annual Christmas Day Service near the Sandringham estate in 2019.

Delicately studded with diamonds, Queen Camilla’s elegant knot brooch holds deep emotional significance – it was the very first brooch she wore as Queen Consort, just a day after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

Prior to that moment, she had worn the piece on several poignant occasions, including official visits abroad and church services – most notably the annual Christmas Day service at Sandringham in 2019.

Symbolically rich, the brooch is crafted in the shape of a knot – a timeless emblem of love, loyalty, unity, and enduring connection. In many ways, it reflects the unbreakable bond shared by Queen Camilla and King Charles over their decades together.

Set with approximately 2 carats of diamonds, I’d estimate the brooch’s value at around $15,000.”
