Queen Camilla’s elegant brooch echoes her wedding flowers

King Charles and Queen Camilla celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary on 9th April 2025. Their ceremony took place at the Windsor Guildhall, and was followed by a wedding blessing at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle

To mark the occasion, Buckingham Palace has released a new photograph of the couple, taken in the garden of the British Ambassador to Italy’s residence during the first day of Their Majesties’ State Visit to the Republic of Italy.

Looking elegant as ever, Queen Camilla is wearing a white and beige coat dress by Anna Valentine, which she’s accessorised with a sentimental brooch that was gifted to the Queen Mother by Soviet leader Nikita Krushchev in 1956.

Diamond experts at UK retailer Steven Stone have revealed everything there is to know about the brooch, from its price tag, to why it’s such a sentimental piece.

“Queen Camilla consistently selects jewellery with deep personal significance for official portraits – and for the portrait marking her and King Charles’ 20th wedding anniversary, she couldn’t have chosen a more fitting piece.

The brooch, exquisitely crafted by Fabergé, features a graceful arrangement of diamonds and pearls designed to resemble a delicate spray of lily of the valley – a meaningful choice, as the flower appeared in her wedding bouquet. It’s also said to symbolise enduring love.

Although the brooch once belonged to the Queen Mother, there’s no record of her ever wearing it. In contrast, Queen Camilla has adorned it on numerous special occasions, including her daughter Laura’s wedding in 2006.

I would estimate the value of this refined piece at around £10,000. While it may not be among the most valuable brooches in the royal collection, it’s undoubtedly one of the most sentimental.”
