Her Majesty Queen Camilla – renowned for her affinity for the royal collection’s exquisite brooches – selected a particularly remarkable one today, igniting discussions that have become the talk of the town.
The Queen bestowed five Buchan Medals upon serving and retired Royal Lancers at the base in Catterick Garrison today. This marks her inaugural visit to the regiment since King Charles appointed her as Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Lancers in 2023.
For the occasion, the senior royal wore a beautiful blue outfit that was modelled on the Lancers uniform. However, it wasn’t just her distinguished outfit that caught attention. As always, considerable thought went into her choice of accessories.
Fine jewellery experts at Steven Stone have unveiled all there is to know about the brooch, which was previously worn by Queen Elizabeth II.
