Lily Collins has been left devastated after being a victim of theft during her stay at a luxury Los Angeles hotel.
The actress was said to be enjoying a spa day in West Hollywood, during which she placed her valuables in storage before heading off to enjoy the hotel facilities. Upon her return, she was shocked to see the items had been stolen – TMZ have reported that there was no sign of forced entry where Lily stored her belongings.
The most devastating loss to Lily will be her engagement ring, which was designed by her now husband, Charlie McDowell. The filmmaker proposed in September 2020 and the couple tied the knot the next year.
Engagement ring specialists at UK retailer Steven Stone have revealed everything you need to know about the ring, which Lily has previously described to be ‘exactly what she wanted’.
Back in September 2020, Lily announced her engaged to Charlie through a series of photos on Instagram – one of the cute couple and a one of her unique ring.
Lily’s engagement ring is particularly special as Charlie designed it himself, with the help of Irene Neuwirth Jewellery.
The unique ring features a rose-cut diamond that weights between 2 and 3 carats and sits in a bezel setting, which is a rather unusual choice for an engagement ring.
The beautiful diamond is a ‘light pink’ colour which is exceptionally rare and also incredibly symbolic – throughout history, the colour pink has been said to represent femininity, love and romance.
Pink diamonds symbolize passion and power. They also represent strength and confidence, which links with their durability.
