In late January, Ed Westwick announced that he was engaged to girlfriend Amy Jackson after nearly two years of dating.
The couple shared a joint post on Instagram, featuring multiple photos from the special moment that the actor popped the question in Gstaad, Switzerland.
Since then, we’ve been eagerly anticipating catching a glimpse of the dazzling ring on Amy’s finger, yet she has managed to keep it rather concealed from prying eyes.
As the couple have just celebrated their engagement with family and friends in London at L’Atelier Robuchon, engagement ring and diamond specialists at Steven Stone have done some digging and unveiled everything we know about Amy’s sparkler.
Amy finally gave us a good look at her beautiful ring a few weeks ago, when she shared a series photos to Instagram that were from a recent shoot that she’d done with Ed.
The couple had teamed up with Tissot and could be seen showcasing their new watches that the company had presumably gifted them, which were engraved with their special date; 27th January 2024. Though as much as we loved the watches, it was the rock on Amy’s finger that we couldn’t take our eyes off.
According to our experts, Amy’s engagement ring features a 5ct oval cut diamond in a solitaire setting, sat on a yellow gold band.
Oval was the most popular cut for celebrity engagement rings in 2023, with 34% opting for the classically elegant shape – including Hailie Jade Mathers, who received a 2 carat oval cut diamond engagement ring from Evan McClintock.
Ed also appears to be following the trends when it comes to his choice of setting too as 53% of celebrities received rings on a solitaire setting in 2023 – including Delta Goodrem, who received a round cut diamond in the fuss free setting from Matthew Copley.
