In 2022, Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee was celebrated with a grand array of events across the United Kingdom – including a spectacular Trooping the Colour parade, a star-studded concert at Buckingham Palace and nationwide street parties.
Shortly before her sad passing, the late monarch gifted her staff limited edition watches that honoured her remarkable 70 year reign. Only 50 of the timepieces were made and they were exclusively available to those working for The Royal Household.
Nearly two years on, one of the limited edition watches has just sold at a Noonfans Mayfair auction for £3,000.
Fine jewellery experts at UK retailer Steven Stone have taken a close look at the timepiece.
The rare limited edition stainless steel diver’s wristwatches were designed by Bremont – an award-winning luxury watch brand based in Henley-on-Thames, England.
Identified as the Bremont Supermarine S300, the watches were a special commission made by The Royal Mews, a division of the Royal Household, to mark the occasion of Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
Adding to the sentiment of the timepieces, the dials display the Royal Coat of Arms and the case back depicts the Royal Cypher of Queen Elizabeth II.
