Award winning rapper Drake has paid homage to his hometown of Toronto with a HUGE necklace.
The necklace features the city’s CN Tower, as well as the three major Toronto teams – the Raptors, Blue Jays and Maple Leafs.
Titled, ‘The Crown Jewel of Toronto’, the stunning piece of jewellery was made by Alex Moss. The New York based celebrity jewellery maker has made several of Drake’s pieces – including his ‘Previous Engagements’ necklace.
Fine jewellery and diamond experts at Steven Stone couldn’t wait to take a closer look at the magnificent piece and have revealed everything you need to know – including how much it could be worth.
Drake has added a new piece of bling to his ever growing collection. Titled ‘The Crown Jewel of Toronto’, the necklace is a magnificent piece of jewellery that pays tribute to his hometown of Toronto by repping the cities three major sports teams.
The CN Tower – a signature icon of Toronto’s skyline – sits at the centre of the necklace. The sparkling replica features a wealth of diamonds, including emerald and round cuts.
Wrapped around the tower is a raptor that pays homage to the cities professional basketball team, the Toronto Raptors. The raptor is set with rubies.
Also wrapped around the tower is a blue jay that’s a nod to the cities professional baseball team, the Toronto Blue Jays. The blue jay is set with colourless diamonds, blue diamonds and yellow diamonds. It also features some rubies, which make up the maple leaf on the birds jersey.
As a huge fan of the Maple Leafs, Drake was never going to forget the cities professional hockey team – set with blue diamonds, their logo hangs on the other side of the chain.

Wrapped around the tower is a raptor that’s set with rubies, as well as a blue jay that’s set with colourless diamonds, blue diamonds, yellow diamonds and rubies. Set with blue diamonds, the Maple Leafs logo hangs on the other side of the chain.
This isn’t the first time that we’ve been impressed by a piece of Drake’s jewellery – late last year, we valued his ‘Previous Engagements’ necklace at a staggering $12.5 million. Made up of 42 diamonds from engagement rings Drake thought about giving to women but ultimately decided against, the necklace totals 351.38 carats and features multiple diamond shapes – including round, emerald, princess cuts.
It’s difficult to estimate a striking piece like ‘The Crown Jewel of Toronto’, particularly without information about the quality. As it doesn’t appear to feature any large stones, I’d estimate it to be worth around $750,000.”
