Congratulations are in order for Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, who got married at their Essex mansion, Pickle Cottage over the weekend!
The couple of seven years met on the set of ‘I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!’ after Stacey was crowned Queen of the Jungle and Joe was hosting spin-off show ‘Extra Camp’.
Just days before their private ceremony, Stacey revealed to her 5.3 million Instagram followers that Joe had surprised her with a sparkly new engagement ring.
Fine jewellery and engagement ring experts at Steven Stone have taken a side by side look at both rings and revealed everything you need to know.
So, what was Stacey’s original engagement ring like? Our leading engagement ring specialist Maxwell Stone commented: “Stacey’s original engagement ring features a cushion diamond – sat on a silver band – in a halo setting and looks to be 2 carats. Halo settings can be beneficial for those with center stones of a smaller carat weight because the halo can accentuate the centre diamond.
It’s an incredibly sentimental – and not to mention, romantic – ring as it features Australian opals, which represents both Stacey’s birthstone and where the couple fell in love.
With all of this in mind, I’d value the ring to have been worth £15,000 ($17,500).”
