In the tapestry of her illustrious career, 2023 stands as a crowning jewel for Taylor Swift.
From groundbreaking collaborations to sold-out stadium shows, the last twelve months have seen her continue to captivate the world with her musical prowess and lyrical prowess.
As we approach the end of the year, the Queen of Pop has found herself in the spotlight once again, this time with Travis Kelce by her side. The couple went public with their romance in October 2023 and after she was seen sporting a huge ring at her birthday bash, fans have been speculating that it was a gift from the Kansas City Chiefs football player.
Fine jewellery experts at Steven Stone have taken a close look at the ring, revealing everything there is to know – including who it’s ACTUALLY from…

Taylor’s new ring boasts an oversized white opal stone in the centre that looks to be around 15ct, surrounded by a halo of with blue topaz stones. Taylor previously stated that opal is her favourite stone, revealing how it was a source of comfort when she was bullied in high school.
Though Travis wasn’t present at the singers birthday bash, it’s easy to see why fans were speculating that he gifted her the ring as it’s an incredibly sentimental piece – not only is opal his birthstone, but topaz is Taylor’s! Though opal is also the birthstone of her close friend, Keleigh Teller.
All fan theories were debunked last night when Keleigh – who is married to Miles Teller – took to Instagram to reveal that it was actually her who gifted Taylor the ring. The influencer shared several close up shots of the piece, alongside a video of Taylor gushing over it.
“Taylor’s ring boasts an oversized white opal stone in the centre that looks to be around 15ct, surrounded by a halo of with blue topaz stones.
A gift from Keleigh Sperry, the ring is laced with sentiment as it features both of their birthstones – opal for Keleigh and topaz for Taylor. The inclusion of a halo adds to its sentimentality as a circle of smaller stones (in this case, topaz) surrounded a central jewel (opal) mirrors the idea of love encircling and protecting a cherished connection – such as Taylor and Keleigh‘s.
Topaz – blue in particular – has become cheap due to oversupply. Opals can be cheap and they can also be incredibly expensive – generally, expensive stones aren’t paired with cheap stones, which makes it unlikely that the opal in Taylor’s ring is particularly valuable. With all of this in mind, I’d estimate the ring to be worth $20,000 at the most.
Though Taylor’s ring doesn’t carry a high monetary value, it definitely carries a high sentimental value and it symbolises hers and Keleigh’s strong friendship – something that we’re sure is a lot more important to Taylor.”
