Our latest ‘Love Story’ features an incredibly magical proposal, which took place under the Northern Lights.
When Leonie and Rob went to Norway, little did Leonie suspect her dream proposal was going to take place. Rob asked the big question under the Northern Lights with a stunning pear-shaped diamond engagement ring from Steven Stone.
We caught up with Lauren to chat about Rob’s enchanting proposal, and how the loved up couple met.
Tell us about Rob’s proposal. We want to hear everything!
The evening we arrived in Tromsø, Rob and I went for a wander around Presvannet Lake, admiring the beautiful moonlit views.
As I was taking photos of the breath-taking Lady Aurora (I honestly couldn’t believe our luck), I turned around and… Rob was on one knee! I was totally overwhelmed! Of course I said YES! I cannot believe we actually got engaged under the Northern Lights. It really was a dream come true!
How did you meet?
We have been together eight years and met out on the town, actually. We swapped numbers, went ona few dates and here we are.
We have seen some amazing places and have the same taste in adventure get-aways. Venice was our first romantic trip together. It’s heart-warming looking back on our memories and we are looking forward to making many more!
We bought our house over a year ago and we now have a 3 year old miniature Dachshund!

The engagement ring was hand-crafted in our Cheshire workshop. It features a stunning centre pear shaped diamond surrounded by a halo of smaller diamonds. The band is made from the highest quality 18ct rose gold.
Pear shaped diamonds combine two cuts; the round brilliant and marquise cut. The pear diamond shape originates from the briolette cut, invented in the 15th century. Pear shaped diamonds are comprised of 58 facets and make some of the most stunning engagement rings, pendants and earrings. The shape elongates petite fingers when set into an engagement ring and makes a beautiful statement piece.
