Last month, we fell in love with a video on Instagram that one had posted which showcased not only her sparkling engagement ring, but also the magical road-trip that her and her partner Ragz were on when he popped the question.
Danielle has taken the time to chat to us about Ragz’s picturesque proposal, the couple’s wedding plans (their big day is A LOT sooner than you’d think) and where they’ll be jetting off to for their dream honeymoon.
Can you tell us a bit about your stunning engagement ring?
It’s an oval cut diamond in a solitaire setting, with a thin gold band and pointed gold claws. There is also a hidden halo which I think is just so special and adds a sparkle from the side. I’ve had this engagement ring on my vision board for years and Ragz did such an amazing job!
And what about Ragz’s proposal? We’d love to hear all of the details!
Ragz and I have been traveling and living around the world for the past few years so I never knew when or where he was going to propose. We were on a road trip for my 30th birthday through Europe and he proposed on my birthday in Innsbruck, Austria! It was such a magical way to bring in the new decade.
Did you always have a design in mind for your ring, or did you have a helping hand?
I always had this design in mind, as I just really liked the classy look of an oval cut diamond and how it elongates the finger. The hidden halo was an added surprise that I’m absolutely in love with.
How are the wedding plans going?
Because I am American and Ragz is British, I applied for a visa that allows me to get married in the UK within the next 6 months only.
Neither of us wanted a long engagement, so we are planning our wedding for just 3 months after the proposal – I’m literally going to be a 90-day fiance, like the TV show haha! My family and friends will fly in from New York and it’s the first time my parents are meeting his, so I’m so excited already!
We are also planning our dream honeymoon to Tahiti later this year, as we are both surfers and love the tropics!
