When Britney Spears announced her engagement to Sam Asghari, fans fell in love with her stunning solitaire engagement ring.
However, it wasn’t the only ring that Britney had received over the years – she’s been engaged three times overall.
From her first fiance Kevin Federline who she had her children with to her former agent and childhood friend Jason Trawick, who she was in a relationship with for around two years before they split in 2013, Britney has received some incredible rings.
To celebrate the release of her memoir ‘The Woman In Me’, jewellery experts at Steven Stone, have taken a close look at the popstars engagement ring collection, revealing that it’s worth a total value of £227,000 ($314,000). They’ve revealed everything you need to know.
Kevin Federline
Value: £180,000 ($250,000)
After meeting on the dance floor at famous Hollywood club ‘Joseph’s’, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline announced their engagement back in July 2004.
Britney proposed to Kevin Federline on her private plane, revealing the following in an interview with People Magazine: “Then all of a sudden I said, ‘What if you want to get married?’ And I kind of went from there to asking him if he would marry me. I asked him… He said no because he thought it wasn’t the right way to do it.”
Britney reportedly chose and purchased her engagement ring herself, opting for a stunning five-carat diamond mounted on two platinum bands.
According to our experts, the beautiful ring features a five carat cushion cut diamond with a double row on a cut down setting. Given the size of the diamond, along with the clarity, it would be worth around £180,000 ($250,000) today.
Jason Trawick
Value: £70,000 ($95,000)
As fans may recall, Jason Trawick and Britney got engaged in December 2011 and announced their split in January 2013.
The 30-year-old singer displayed the stunning sparkler – a three carat diamond by jeweller Neil Lane – at a party in Las Vegas to celebrate both their engagement and Jason’s 40th birthday.
According to our experts, the ring features a 3.5 to 4 carat centre stone and 90 sparkling pave diamonds on its band. The setting is crown-shaped, delicate looking, and just the right fit for Britney’s hand. It looks like a pear-shaped diamond, which will no doubt come with a high price tag. If this ring was on sale today, it would probably cost around £70,000 ($95,000).
According to TMZ, Britney returned the ring back to Jason after the pair split. The US news source also reported that Britney was keen to have children with Jason, but he wasn’t on the same page, stating that he was ‘in another place’ and doesn’t want to start a family. The split announcement came the same day as Britney confirmed she’d quit her role as a judge on the X Factor.
Sam Asghari
Value: £87,000 ($120,000)
Britney Spears and long-term partner Sam Asghari announced their engagement via Instagram on Sunday 12th September 2021. Sadly, the couples relationship came to an end in August 2023, after just fourteen months of marriage.
Sending fans into a frenzy, the video saw Britney laughing and smiling with her fiancé, while showing off her engagement ring. In true Britney style, she captioned the post: “I can’t f***ing believe it.” Sam also posted a photograph of Britney showing off her ring finger to the camera on his profile.
According to Forever Diamonds NY – who created Britney’s diamond ring from Sam – it’s engraved with the word “lioness” as that was his nickname for her.
According to our experts, the ring features a 3.5 carat round cut diamond on a floating solitaire with stunning pave detailing on the bridge – and another discreet diamond beneath the bridge. It’s likely to be worth around £87,000 ($120,000).
