On the latest episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney Kardashian broke the news that she’s broken her engagement ring from Blink 182 drummer, Travis Barker.
Sharing her mishap with Mum, Kris Jenner, Kourtney explained how she stood on the diamond ring after taking it off and placing it on the floor next to her whilst she’d been sat on the floor folding sweatshirts.
Kourtney’s engagement ring
When the couple’s engagement was announced in 2021, diamond experts at Steven Stone took a close look at the ring, which boasts a huge dazzling centre stone.
With a carat weight of 8, Kourtney’s oval shaped diamond is in a solitaire setting. A simple design, it’s sat on a thin pave band.
According to our experts, it’s worth a staggering $1 Million (£750,000).
Can it be fixed?
Diamonds are renowned for their exceptional toughness, making them highly resistant to scratches and damage. Thus, there’s a good chance that Kourtney will be able to get her beautiful ring from Travis fixed.
If only the band is affected, the repair should be swift and straightforward. The worst case scenario is that the stone is damaged, which would mean that Kourtney would need to have the entire ring reconstructed.
The process of remaking a ring of Kourtney’s value is likely to incur a cost ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 (£4,000 to £8,000) and may take anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks, depending on the severity of the damage.
