Michael Schumacher is a name that’s synonymous with Formula 1 greatness. His legacy is one of unparalleled skill, determination, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. Throughout his illustrious career, the German racing driver rewrote the record books, claiming seven World Drivers’ Championships and 91 Grand Prix victories.
One of the most poignant moments of his career was the 1996 Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Driving for the Scuderia Ferrari team, his win was the teams first since their last Italian Grand Prix victory in 1988.
You can now be a part of history as a limited number of bracelets have been crafted from the actual tyre that Schumacher used in that race. Fine jewellery experts at Steven Stone have revealed everything there is to know about the unique pieces.
The rubber from the tyre of Schumacher’s Monza-winning Ferrari F310 car has been made into a handful of limited edition bracelets.
Titled MZ96, the stunning pieces feature seven round cut diamonds and a platinum clasp. They were created as part of a collaboration between Mongrip and the charitable Keep Fighting Foundation, which was set up in 2016 by Michael’s family in the wake of his serious skiing accident in 2013.
The first bracelet sold on auction for over €30,000 (£25,000). Priced at €9,600 (£8,230), the remainder of the bracelets will be released in batches, alongside authenticity certificates. The first batch of 7 will be available for purchase on 7th December.
