Kim has been married three times – first to Damon Thomas, then Kris Humphries, and finally Kanye West.
While it’s unclear whether she received an engagement ring from Damon Thomas, she certainly did from Kris Humphries – or so we thought.
In a surprising revelation from the episode, Kim claimed that she actually purchased the ring herself but had to give it to Kris as part of their divorce settlement.
Leading diamond experts at UK retailer Steven Stone have uncovered everything there is to know about the iconic sparkler, including where it is now.
“Kris Humphries proposed to Kim Kardashian with a breathtaking 16.2-carat emerald-cut diamond ring, flanked by two 1.8-carat diamonds. Designed by Lorraine Schwartz, I’d estimate the stunning sparkler to be worth £1.87 million ($2 million).
However, as part of their divorce settlement, Kim was required to return the ring to Kris. The basketball star later sold it at a Christie’s auction for $749,000.
That said, Kim is far from short on engagement rings. Though she sadly lost one in the Paris robbery, she still presumably owns one of the two lavish rings that she received from Kanye West.”
