Renowned for seamlessly blending modern trends with a classic and refined sensibility, Kate Middleton is quite the style icon and she never fails to find the perfect accessory for her outfits – and she certainly impressed with her latest look.
Kate Middleton stepped out today for the Shaping Us National Symposium, which she is hosting with The Royal Foundation Centre of Early Childhood.
Looking as stylish as ever in a bold purple suit, the Princess of Wales added a touch of blue to her outfit with a pair of navy pumps and a particularly special pair of diamond and sapphire earrings.
Fine jewellery experts at UK retailer Steven Stone have taken a close look at the earrings and revealed everything you need to know – from their origin, to their value.
The Princess of Wales’ sapphire and diamond drop earrings feature two cabochon sapphire drops, surrounded by diamonds halos.
The cluster style earrings pay tribute to Princess Diana, who wore them on multiple occasions – most notably on the cover of Vogue in 1994 and to the 1996 Met Gala.
Until Kate publicly debuted them at the 2022 Trooping the Colour parade, the sentimental earrings had been unseen since the sad passing of the late Princess.
Our experts estimate them to carry a value of £30,000.
